Thank you for your interest in Greater Carolina's Aviation regarding flight training.

As a general response to inquiry, you can take an introductory or discovery flight for as little as $79

which is just enough to get you into the air, fly around for about 15-20 minutes and return to land.

If you have never flown in a small aircraft before this would be our first suggestion.

If you know that flying is not a problem for you, we would suggest a "first lesson" which would

take about three hours of your time for the first lesson.

If you decide that your long-term goal is to obtain your private pilot's license, then you may find

the following information helpful:

(40 is the minimum required by the FAA) and most students will take 6 months to 1 year

to complete their rating and while some will do so in 40, don't be discouraged if not, average is a little over 50 hours.

With a concentration on training and the time can be kept closer to the 40 hour minimum and reduce

your total cost as does block purchase of time, consistency in scheduling and training is the key to lowering

the time needed for anyone. And of all the airports in the Charlotte area Goose Creek Airport is one of

the easiest and most convenient to get to.

I would encourage you to visit our operation here at the Goose Creek Airport located

on 2020 Lawyers Road in Indian Trail, NC. Take a look at what we have to offer and

how we can best help you to earn your wings. For no one ever regrets getting their

pilot license and a whole new world opens up when done. And we will be offering "Light Sport"

instruction and rental soon

If you have any further questions, please feel free to call me at your convenience.  We also have

a full line of pilot supplies, with Gleim private pilot kits, headsets, sectionals ...etc.
